Owain Carbis discovers the true fear of the Cybermen.
Their main impediment was one that only a flesh and blood man would have recognised: they had no heart, no emotions, no feelings . They lived by inexorable laws of pure logic. Love, hate, hate, anger, even fear were eliminated from their lives.
Doctor Who and the Cybermen- Gerry Davies
Ever since watching Army of Ghosts/Doomsday I have disliked how the Dalek overpowered the Cybermen. hence the dialogue,
Cyber Leader: Daleks, be warned. You have declared war upon the Cybermen.
Dalek Sec: This is not war. This is pest control!
Cyber Leader: We have five million Cybermen. How many are you?
Dalek Sec: Four.
Cyber Leader: You would destroy the Cybermen with four Daleks?
Dalek Sec: We would destroy the Cybermen with one Dalek! You are superior in only one respect.
Cyber Leader: What is that?
Dalek Sec: You are better at dying.
I love the element that Neil Gaiman has brought in ‘The Nightmare in Silver’ that the Cybermen can constantly upgrade to withstand what atacks them. If the Daleks do confront the Daleks again no doubt the Cybermen could upgrade themselves to even withstand Daleks. Despite the Daleks upgrading thir casing aswell this could bring a whole new power to the Cybermen. Also by using all of their body as weapons, for example the Cymberman dissasembling his hand to chase after a soldier.
Considering these were an idea for the human race to survive on Earth’s twin planet Mondas the Cybermen without a shadow of a doubt the most unnerving ffactor of a Cyberman is that they can be real. Already humans are developing technology for medical use…
